Visited.

Weirdest thing just happened. I was sitting at my computer streaming the season finale of American Horror Story. The episode is getting real crazy, it's near the end. Then all of a sudden the Electric goes out. The computer shuts off and the light go out. At first I'm mad, then I realize I'm sitting alone in the dark. I'm now slightly scared because of the abruptness. I sit for a few seconds in the dark wondering what I should do. Others are in the house but sleeping and no doubt unaffected. I feel very alone, vulnerable. Then the lights come back on, I hear the Answering machine kick on. Having experienced this before I decide not to restart my computer just yet. But this flash power outage usually happens when it's storming outside, and right now it's dry and not even windy. I look outside and it's dark, really dark. There are two security lights that illuminate the property. They are out still, even though now the lights are back on inside. I go downstairs because I feel this needs some instigating.
I see an alarm clock radio in the kitchen with the time of 11:37, totally unaffected by the power surge. Normally when the power goes out it would be blinking 12:00. Okay so the power went out only upstairs and out side? The dogs are laying in a curled ball very unaffected by this human crisis.
I step outside with a flashlight. It's really dark out and in distance the neighbors have they're electric, security lights and all. I have weird feelings of being watched since the second the light went out.
It's real cloudy I can't see the stars but hear this really deep-low rumbling. A plane? Must be a really slow plane. It still continues as I walk the yard. A very slow and low plane.. Convinced everything is normal, but not convinced everything is normal I head back inside.
I use the bathroom but bring the flashlight with me in case. It so happens to be one of my worse fears to be alone in the dark and I just wouldn't be surprised if it might happen again right now. But it doesn't.
I look in the mirror and stare at my reflection and I think how everything feels slightly different than it did right before this bazaar and apparently isolated event. Even looking in the mirror, my eyes look different. Like I mentioned, everything feels and looks the same but slightly different. I can only think of one word, "Visited".
Enough with my brain, it's up to bed to write this down while it's fresh and new. I am really tired anyway, perhaps it's some sort of an explanation..

The fools path

There is a trail through the woods that uncharted. In fact there are quit a few. Twice as many trails as there are troopers. Be careful what your eye will see. None of these trails lead anywhere good. What you follow what looks like a guide, is the feeling you are feeling inside. But it's a trick as I'm sure it is true the forest is making a fool out of you.

The edge of the day hits me underground, matched with sounds of grinding steel. Grit my teeth waiting for the 'Rrrrrrrrr'. I bite back with smile in mind, soothes my racing thoughts. Makes me want to hold someones hand in mine, Fingers interlocked like the traffic of the Metro. . .

Why can't I speak Portuguese?

I don't know my fathers Native language, but is it my fault?
My father immigrated to this gnarly country in the last 60's from Brazil. He met  my Midwestern mother in The great New York City. My older brother was born in 75' and I followed six years later. We were both born New Yorker's. As I grew up my external family came to visit from Ohio and Brazil. Ohio was easier and cheaper to visit than Brazil, so I went there more often. I have been to Brazil 3 times in my life.
Growing up in my internal family I have to say I herd mostly english. My father and aunt who lived with us at the time, spoke portuguese back to each other. I don't remember siting down for any serious lessons, or for that matter running way from any.
Now I'm thirty and during dinner tonight the topic came up of why I don't speak Portuguese. My father claims it's because I never wanted to learn. I say bullshit. Perhaps it should have been taught to me when I was a child and my memory banks were fully open for business to absorb. I think it would have been a lot more intuitive than learning now. So at thirty I have decided it is my responsibility to learn this language. And I totally will.
But yet I ask my original question. Honestly, who's fault is it I don't know my fathers native language?

Ohio University Transfer Student Journalism Essay

I was almost born in Ohio. My mother raced back to New York City where I was born. She raised me with frequent trips back to Newark/Heath for summer vacations and holidays. I loved the freedom of growing up in NYC, but having the small town morals and manners. I always felt the pulse of the city pushing me to explore new things and hidden talents. I enjoy music, poetry, hiking, swimming, running, volunteering, working with children. NYC is busy and bustling which is a clever cover for its creative flow. I am proud to be born and raised in a city known for its wonderful diversity and opportunities.
Community College just was not for me, it never was. At age Nineteen I found myself floating around pursuing Liberal Arts in a flurry of "13th" graders most if whom were more interested in social activities than studies. Still I remained focused. Focusing on my prerequisites. Then the attacks of September 11th, 2001 happened. My classroom was gone, my campus closed for class and transformed into a Triage and then later a volunteer rest area. My priorities changed. I was unsure what was worth considering as a career because of the then unknowing future. I started Volunteering at a local elementary school displaced by 9/11.
I started working at P.S.89 for an after school program and quickly learned I loved working with children. Later summer camp and year round work there. I have worked with Manhattan Youth and Recreation Resources for more than ten years. I lead large groups of second and third graders in activities from team sports to piano and homework help.
I consider a career in teaching frequently or in guidance.
I took a year off in 2007 to explore my passion for film making. The New York Film Academy was an intense and expensive year for me. I learned to film, edit, produce and write scripts. It was then that I decided to transfer that passion into writing. I enjoyed the writing aspect of film making. Since then I have started a Blog and constantly collected my writings.
I certainly have and opinion as does everyone. I enjoy providing point of views unseen. I like to explain and want to extend my articulation. When I write I feel the best emotion. It is a freeing feeling. It is a passion. I absolutely love writing and I think that I was born to write in the public eye. I want to make a career from this. Given the chance to explore on constructive path I'm sure I will excel and become one of the states, country, possibly worlds greatest paid writers..

Thank you for your Consideration.

Acid Flashback

Holy Acid Flashback!
Today I had my strongest Acid Flashback yet since I stopped tripping years ago. (Wikipedia "Acid Flashback")
It came out of nowhere and hit me at while I was demolishing a bathroom, with a crowbar in my hand.  The large iced mocha prob was a trigger along with my headphones at full volume blasting a nostalgic album (you've come along way baby) from a DJ I used to listen to. The It hit me hard and I felt shaky in my legs and hands. I was already sweating from work but now it was profusely pouring out of my pores. I wasn't experiencing any "visuals" but I new I was "tripping out" because of my thoughts. I was taking apart a toilet by this time and looked inside and saw how ghetto of a replacement to was to the handle inside the tank that pulls the plug to let water fill. I started bugging out on what kind of job this was and how the person must have found these random objects to attempt this job. Plus all the colors on the fix were very vibrant. Here is a picture.
I was laughing a little in my head and acting weird and goofy. Just then my father walks in and I show him how humorous of a job this was. I'll be damned if he says "Wow, someone must have been tripping when they did that". What! did he just say that? Bugging me out even more. This is too funny.  He walked away and I had to start dancing...
The Flashback last about forty five minutes and as soon as I put on some calmer music it fades away. During, all I could do was Grin and Bare it...

Good Boy: a Dogs Day for Life

A lesson pulled out from right under feet. A dumbed dog waiting patiently seeks an unfaithful master, who means to love back. Unsure of the responsibility, master abandons. Pup sits and waits, and waits but will eventually give up. Starved. Hounds back on the streets, wise but now unkind. This new breed purges on in search of replenishment and replacement. Unsatisfied and forever thinking about his first master..

Tree Theme. (unaltered images taken from iPhone4)

Central Ohio's Clouds (unaltered images taken from iPhone4)

Can you comprehend the End?

Life is so Grand and Overwhelming.
Its hard to stay on the Path, to keep from falling and sharing with those other great, wonderful, amazing, connecting individuals. Be aware, they Will stall you.
Distract you from the path that leads to each owns ultimate goal.
In the end, to truly be happy with, yourself.. .
Circle of Life much anyone?

Poop!

I must be the only man that is not 100 percent proud of Pooping.
I know that everyone poops, and yes I am aware of now of the ever so popular children's book 'Everyone Poops'. That's totally fine.
It's just that I have had plenty of male roommates including a father and brother who keep me updated about the biological process when it arrives. These guys usually have a big smile on their face as well, as if I couldn't tell from the 180 shift in there body language.
I personally don't want to announce it. I don't want anyone to know when its happening so that they are thinking about it. I certainly don't want anyone to smell it. I don't want anyone to talk to me from the other side of the door. Not cool. I don't want to see cell phone pictures of the biggest one they have ever taken. I Even know that "Upper Decker" means when you take a Poop in the top part of a toilet tank (yes really), and then an unsuspecting next user flushes they will see the Poop transfer from the tank into the toilet instead of clean water.
Now I'm ranting about Poop. I'll stop.
Good bye.

kNOwing (Yes)

I am beginning to realize the true nature of the world.
All that giving, and taking.
Do not birds eye Discouragement as yourself being a slave to a natural system, but rather as letting go of your your unspoken hangups. Only then can you really Witness it.
Absorbing a sacrifice is not the same as committing one.
Harnessing the power from a situation of which you have no control over is the only way to have control of the situation. At least take something from it, more than the lesson itself.
This is not selfish, its selfless. Grin and you've just learned how to smile as you kill.
Look your getting positive recognition already. Doors are opening.
You will start to see further into the horizon.
This makes your Self Happier, and in return people are Happier back to You.
It really is a Win Win situation.
. ..Enjoy your New Powers.. .

The Bottom Walk

Sitting inside on a chair, I hear a calling behind me.
I seek out a solo walk to gain a vision.
This walk was a soft whisper calling to me, like that of a pointer finger motioning me closer with a wink.
I look out the window and saw where the path would lead.
Over the hill past the Cow barn, down towards the "Bottom" of the valley where the woods meet the creek and the property line.
Its called the 'Bottom" because its a part of the property that is at the lowest topographical point. Above it a giant hill.
Nothing good comes from this place.

In History it is the place of numerous tractor crashes that sent the tractor's and its' dragging wagon's tumbling down the hill. Injuring a few. Unknown fatalities.

I was in an accident there myself years ago when I was a tween. Riding a three wheeler ATV I experienced a unexplained thrust from the vehicle and was send flying forward uphill towards a fence that acted as a ramp and sent me flying into the air, only to have the ATV land directly on top of me, knocking me unconscious. I awakened in major pain and to find bleeding from my ears.

There is an old swimming hole here where the cousins used to go jump in to cool off during those hot summers days. Only to be bitten by both water snakes and snapping turtles.

My aunt Linda is convinced there is a Gateway of some sort down at the "Bottom".

I wasn't scared or looking for trouble of any kind. Just naturally curious of what I would experience or see. So put on my boots ans headphones and headed down.

The Walk.

I noticed some down Trees from recent Storms.

Congested groups of Bushes.

Tangled Tree limbs.

Banks dug out from Storms.

They form a Channel for flood waters.

Unplugged ears for now.

I asked the Universe to show me something.

I follow a *Fools Path.

I come to a Downed Tree.

I'm attracted to a Tree I recognize from my Youth.

Climb its large broken branch.

The Hill takes my Focus.

I Climb the Hill, I'm about to Receive my Message.

Put your Music on Random, Pay attention to the Songs.

I start Dancing in the Wilderness.

It gets Blurry for a few minutes.

I ask the Woods to enter.. I do not receive permission.

These Songs/Artists are Interesting.

Songs:
Jesus Don't Want me for a Sunbeam. Some Beastie Boys. Some Beatles.
Run This Town. Can We Get Together.  Embrace the Martian. Here Comes the Sun.
Some Chemical Brothers. The Way It Is. 311.

The Sun is Setting.
I Don't get it, what am I supposed to understand?

Then I Stumble upon this. A Dead Calf.

The Energy Shifts. Lyrics, "Get the hell out there".

Darkness Falls. I didn't bring a Flashlight, on purpose.

Have I caused this? Why was I meant to see this?

Still there is beauty.

I write this down in my Digital Notepad..
Making sense of my Hypocrisy.
Mirror my Mockery.
Getting Aristotle Off.
Milking Sugar from their Diamonds.
Abandon Reality, Escalate Fantasy.
One Eye Open is a Safe Path.
Fast and Steady Wins the Race.
Only Human. I'll show you the way outa this place.
Be Clever in full View, while they've Taken a Piece of you.

Here Comes the Sun, in the Night.. .

*Fools Path is a Path in the Woods that is not necessarily a paved or traveled path or trail, but looks like one. Most likely a random opening to look like a Path, yet it beckons to be followed. -Jesse Carmo
